Standard Screw Rebuilding

    A rebuilt screw should be as good, if not better than a new screw. We operate under that philosophy on every screw we do.

    To maintain the life of a screw, care must be taken to insure proper welding procedures. Shortcuts that can shorten the life of a screw are not taken at Precision Feedscrews. And care must be exercised to maintain concentricity between the outer diameter and the screw root. Attention should also be given to specially designed screws and their mixing sections to maintain the screw performance.

    We can also rebuild most tool steel screws if wear is less than .025".

    There is almost no limit to the number of times a screw can be rebuilt if proper rebuilding procedures are utilized.
